The next challenge set to our marine division was one of automation. The brief set was to allow a screen to be viewed from two different positions in the room whilst maintaining the full cinema surround sound experience. Dawsons had a custom built mechanism fitted to the yacht that allows a BeoVision 7-40 to motor round 180 degrees seamlessly at the touch of a button on the Beo 5 touch screen remote control.

To maintain the sleek contemporary style within the main saloon Dawsons fitted a BeoVision 4-50 screen to a motorised drop down lift that was fully controlled, again, via the Beo 5 touchscreen remote control. When not in use the BeoVision 4-50 would motor up into the headlining of the yacht completely out of sight.

Behind the scenes the installation comprised of a full Bang & Olufsen link system sharing sources such as a Kaleidescape DVD server, iPod dock with control, in built Blu-Ray DVD on selected televisions and CD & Radio all seamlessly controlled with the Beo5 touchscreen remote control.

We did not limit the entertainment to the interior of the yacht outside Dawsons fitted marine quality outdoor speakers to extend the audio to the Fly bridge, Aft cockpit and foredeck. The client could then listen to any source available on the link system and have full independent control of the volume for that zone.

The Beo 5 remote control was programmed specifically for this yacht allowing any user a simple and straight forward operation in any area of the vessel.
